After six years of history at school there might still be things you would like to know. This course is designed to bridge the gaps and create a complete picture out of the world history jigsaw puzzle you have in your mind.
In addition to bridging the gaps we will analyse how accurately the Spartans are portrayed in “300” or how different the effects of modern terrorism can be interpreted by different filmmakers (“Munich”, “The Baader Meinhof Complex”). And finally, we will be going out to see where in our surroundings we can find traces of world historical events like Napoleon or the Holocaust.
This course is especially recommended for students who intend to take history as an oral Matura subject and would like to strive after the “total recall” effect.
