You do not care about politics although you are already allowed to vote? In your opinion politicians are greedy for power and money and only work in their own interests? You believe that it does not matter who is elected because nothing ever changes?
Hopefully some of your misconceptions about politics and politicians can be corrected in the first part of this course, because now it is time to work on your political awareness. Our topics will cover forms of government, political parties in Austria, democracies and how they work, as well as serious and funny episodes from political life.
We will also meet with politicians at local and state level and discuss current events and general political topics and visit the Austrian parliament in Vienna and the City Council in Graz.
