Do you enjoy writing, but sometimes feel trapped by restrictive writing assignments? Would you like to write about things that really matter to you and make your voice heard? Then this course is for you!
We’ll dive into different types of creative writing, try out cool writing techniques, and break down powerful examples from both classic and modern writers. Whether you're into storytelling or poetry, you'll get the chance to experiment and find your style. If you’re into music, we can even touch on writing lyrics.
Over the semester, you'll create a collection of your best works in a personal writing portfolio. Your chosen pieces will be submitted for feedback. Plus, at the end of the term, you’ll have the chance present your own favourite at our internal Creative Writing Award Competition. Let’s bring your ideas to life!
