Let´s understand international relations and current political conflicts in the geographical and economic context. We will explore the Middle East and try to find out what role the lack or the abundance of resources plays in the ongoing conflicts.
We will also have a closer look at one of the strangest and most isolated countries in the world, North Korea, to investigate command economy and its outcome.
Further topics will depend on what's in the news at the time of the elective.
You have to book this course together with the History part of the elective in order to get a complete understanding of current world events.
