The aim of this elective is for students to experience a range of interesting activities linking the “theoretical class room chemistry” and practical laboratory work. During the course we focus on: Safety in a Chem-lab; Handling Lab-equipment, Naming Inorganic Compounds, Precipitation Reactions, Emission Spectra, Acid-Base Titrations, Conductivity, Distillation, Properties of Different Compounds, Solubility, Experiments with Gases.
At the end of this course participants are able to set up simple experiments which they will document by writing a lab-report.
