Field studies and outings are essential aspects of biological work. Using first-hand observation and interpretation as key tools for learning, this course furthers your knowledge of how plant and animal communities interact with their environments and with each other. Keeping in mind human impact on nature, we will cover topics such as biodiversity, ecological balance, soil as a living space, pond life, gardens, and national parks. We plan to have an excursion to Tierpark Herberstein to study animal behaviour.
